Pattern: Just your basic top-downs using the numbers from an old pre-blog pair. My gauge has changed considerably in the last 2 years, it would seem. These are some looooooose stitches, but I’ll survive.
Yarn: Berroco Comfort DK left over from these gloves.
Started: March 10 (or so), 2012
Finished: April 1, 2012
Design Features: I transitioned between colors with 3 pairs of one-row stripes after the cuff and before the toe. I knit one-row stripes on the heel flap, too, which was trickier than I thought it would be. One thing I learned if you want to try this is don’t slip the first stitch of the row. Things get awfully sloppy when it’s time to pick up the gusset stitches. I’m talkin’ holes, people, and you know how I feel about holes in socks.
Overall, there are some things I’d do differently about these socks. Some things I may do differently, actually, as I still have plenty of this yarn left. But you know what? They’re still a finished pair of socks. I can’t complain.
